As the title says, I have OEM sensors fitted to my 2007 focus 1.8 Ghia tdci, which, along with the reverse lights have stopped working. I have checked the bulb & fuse in the glovebox compartment. I have checked for power at the switch, located on the top of the mtx75 gearbox, which is there, shorted the two wires in the connector together

My 2003 TDCI estate has factory parking sensors fitted but when put in reverse, after the initialisation beep a second tone sounds continuously as if the car is already parked right up against something. The parking aid module does this by calculating the distance to an object by the use of four parking aid sensors mounted in the rear bumper. The sensors can detect objects approximately 1m to the rear of the vehicle.
